Instead of Hosted AI assistants and agents

A Raspberry Pi in a drawer is the dream host for a personal agent, and Moltis aims straight at it with one binary that the README says runs on a Mac Mini, a Raspberry Pi or any server you own. It handles voice, memory, MCP tools and channels such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and Teams, and the page says every command runs in a sandboxed container and never on your host.
Moltis scores a 5 on lock-in, a 4 on footprint, self-direction, power and delivery and a 3 on longevity.
The code is MIT licensed and the moltis-org organization publishes it, with a maintainer who writes in the first person and a site at moltis.org. The page lists OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot and local providers, names no local runtimes, states no funding and makes no telemetry claim, and it describes optional tracing through Langfuse and OpenTelemetry. The repository has 3,832 commits, and Windows is not mentioned.
