SearXNG
A search page that asks many engines for you and keeps you out of the tracking.
Instead of Google Search

SearXNG sends your query to many search engines at once and shows the combined results without passing along who you are. You can run your own copy or use one of the public instances that volunteers keep up, and it is free and open source.
SearXNG scores a 5 on lock-in, a 4 on self-direction, power and longevity and a 3 on footprint and delivery.
Result quality depends on the engines behind it, and public instances come and go. If you use someone else's instance you are trusting them with your queries, so running your own is the stricter choice.
- Asks many search engines at once and hides who you are
- Run your own copy or use a volunteer-run public one
- Results are only as good as the engines behind it

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.

Side by side. SearXNG vs Google Search
For comparison, we also reviewed Google Search (16/30) as a benchmark.
